I like that you got to see both POV's and that our h was a strong woman and not a victim but the point from where she gets her fiancée is escalating to Jake informing her of this was kind of adolescent to me. This book is absolutely hilarious - I laughed out loud practically the entire time I was reading it, frequently running to the other room to share with my wife. So, that’s my thought entering this book, and I expected to find a story narrated by one of the many Native Americans in the show: I felt (and still feel) that narration by Zintkala Nuni, 4 months old at Wounded Knee, cared for by the Lakota, removed / adopted by General Colby and paraded about as a ‘trinket’ in his dealings along the western territories, but she wasn’t. The duplicitous demigod Theseus—backed by a ruthless vampire gang and the power-hungry goddess Hera—is determined to lure her into a glorious, and rather public, battle to the death. It was perfect, it was painful and it was so beautiful in the closure it gave; it was so needed and yet I just don't know how she wrote it. This story had lots of twists and turns, ups and downs.
